We love taking part in charity challenges, and over the year there has been quite a few memorable ones!

Our Managing Director, Richard Harrison, is on the board of the Midlands Byte Night charity which raises much needed funds for Action for Children who provide support for underprivileged children. Money raised from this charity helps to get young people off the streets, into a safe environment and helps them build back their confidence and skills with the aim of getting back into employment.

Xpertise 2018 Charity challenge – Race to the Peaks!

So far this year, we have completed the Xpertise Race to the Peaks charity challenge in September! Two teams made up of Xpertise employees raced to the finish line on either foot or bike in the Peak District. The walkers trekked a big 19 miles through the peaks whilst the cyclists raced 50 miles from our Xpertise head office in Derby, stopping off at agreed locations to collect specific items and took photos along the way. The cycling team won the challenge by a close 45 minutes.

Xpertise Sleep Out for Byte Night 2018

Later in the year, team Xpertise slept out on a cold winters night in Birmingham for the 5th consecutive year for Byte Night.

Overall in 2018, team Xpertise has raised £4123 for Action for Children.

How have your donations helped?

A donation of just £5 could pay for a hot meal for a homeless young person. £10 can buy a set of pots and pans to help a formerly homeless young person start to build their own home. By donating £18, you could pay for a warm shower and hygiene kit to help a young person prepare for interviews. So over the last 12 months we have helped over 822 young homeless people pay for a hot meal.

What other charity challenges have we done? 3 Peaks Charity Challenge 2017 !
